Oct. 9th, 2007 01:59 amIs it October already? Goodness, time seems to have flown so quickly. I know it certainly doesn’t wait for anyone but I’d have expected it to have the good grace to move at least a little slower.
At least it’s finally occurred to me exactly why this journal is continually showing the wrong time. It’s drawing on the information from the clock on this computer and this particular one is set to GMT. My actual office setup may be set to New York time but my laptop isn’t and that’s the one I use to idle... and bid on ebay. I still also need to look into this GoogleTalk business for Katherine since at least I can just look at my clock and tell if it’s a reasonable time for her but that still doesn’t explain why I need to use that rather than just make a normal phonecall. Her and her toys. I’ll be lucky if she doesn’t invest in a biometric reader for her car keys next, though that could get spectacularly complicated if I have to drive her home at New Year’s.
